Tips & tricks for event email campaigns -

What’s the point of having an event if no one shows up? That’s why email campaigns are so important. They help create buzz, build-up and awareness from the get-go all the way to the big day --- and to make sure everyone clears their calendar.

There are 3 key campaigns you want to consider. Any less, you’re risking low attendance. Any more, you risk being a bit annoying.

Start off by sending them a Save the Date invite about 4-6 weeks before the actual event where you don’t give them too much info besides the fact that it’s gonna be awesome.

Follow up with an RSVP campaign with a bit more info, and a slightly greater sense of urgency to confirm their attendance.

Then you want to send a Coming Soon email a bit closer to the actual date which gives even more info and reminds those that haven’t yet RSVP’ed to do so…

You will also want to create an email campaign after the event has been held. But that’s for another post.

The Automatic Campaign Builder

Purple’s new AI-driven Campaign Builder has reimagined event campaigns to save you a ton of time and hassle. Event planners that use this tool have increased attendance on average by 35%.

What’s really cool about the campaign builder is that it already fills out all the fields for you for each of the 3 campaigns based on the type of event and the type of guests you’ve invited.

For example, if you're inviting donors to a fundraising event, it will provide a sophisticated tone and color palette for the invite. If you're inviting employees to a company retreat, the language will be more casual and relaxed. Obviously, there is no substitute for your personal touch, so you might want to make a few of your own personal edits.

No problemo, you can edit any part of the campaign. That includes cover images as well. The whole idea is simply about saving you time by providing you structure and guidance.

The campaign builder also automatically schedules each campaign at just the right time.

That’s one small step for Purple, and one giant leap for making event planning so much easier and efficient.

Don’t just take our word for it. Check it when planning your next event with Purple.
